About This Tier List

This Battlefield 6 weapons tier list ranks all 45 weapons available in Season 1, including assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, sniper rifles, DMRs, shotguns, and launchers. Each weapon has been tested extensively and ranked based on effectiveness in both competitive and casual play.

How We Rank Weapons

  • S-Tier: Meta-defining weapons. Best in class performance with minimal weaknesses.
  • A-Tier: Strong competitive picks. Viable in most situations with minor trade-offs.
  • B-Tier: Situational weapons. Good in specific scenarios or playstyles.
  • C-Tier: Underperforming weapons. Need buffs to compete with higher tiers.

Best Weapons by Class

Assault: The M4A1 Carbine and NVO-228E dominate Season 1 with perfect balance of damage, fire rate, and accuracy. The Kord 6P67 is also excellent for players who prefer laser-accurate weapons.

Engineer: SGX (starter SMG) and PW7A2 are the top SMG picks, while the M87A1 Shotgun absolutely dominates close-quarters combat with one-shot potential.

Support: PKP Pecheneg is the undisputed LMG king with devastating damage and suppression. Support is arguably the strongest class in Season 1.

Recon: M2010 ESR for traditional sniping with one-shot headshots, or SV-98/SVD for more aggressive playstyles.

Season 1 Meta Overview

The Season 1 meta favors high fire rate weapons with good accuracy. Assault rifles dominate medium-range engagements, while SMGs excel in close-quarters. Snipers remain strong for long-range control. The Support class has been significantly buffed, making LMGs more viable than in previous Battlefield titles.
